Is my financial data private?

Yes. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. MyExpenses+ has no accounts and no servers — it never uploads your expenses anywhere. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I back up or move my data?

Go to Settings → Backup & Restore → Backup Expenses to save a backup file you can store in Files or iCloud Drive, then Restore from Backup on another device. You can also export to CSV or PDF from Settings → Export.

How does bank SMS import work?

Paste a bank purchase message into Expenses → Import from SMS (or use the Shortcut). The app reads the amount, merchant, and card entirely on your device and lets you review each transaction before saving. Nothing is sent off your phone.

How do I lock the app with Face ID?

Turn on Settings → Security → Face ID. Authentication is handled by iOS; the app never sees your biometric data.

Do tips unlock anything?

No — MyExpenses+ is completely free. Tips are an optional, one-time way to support development and unlock nothing.

How do I set my currency or budget?

Open Settings → Currency & Budget to choose your currency and set an optional monthly budget.
