Privacy Policy

EventTrack (“the app,” “we,” “us”) helps you plan events — weddings, parties and other celebrations — together with the people helping you, from a single shared budget. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. The app is provided by Murali Krishna M.

Information we collect

Account information. Your email address and display name, from the email and password you sign up with, or from Sign in with Apple (iPhone) or Sign in with Google (Android). If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive only Apple’s private relay address.
Your content. The events you create — titles, dates, venues, budgets, tasks, expenses, schedules and guest lists — so they can sync across your devices and to the people you share them with.
Guest details you enter. Names, and any phone numbers, emails or dietary notes you add for your guests. You are responsible for having a basis to store information about other people.
Photos and documents. Cover photos, receipts, and any images or PDFs you upload and attach to an event.
Collaboration data. Who has access to an event, their role, and which account last changed a task or expense.
Saved teammates. Stored privately against your account so you can share events quickly.

What we do not collect

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, location, your device contacts, or your photo library. There is no third-party tracking, and we do not build advertising profiles.

How we use your information

Only to run the app for you: to sign you in, store and sync your events, share them with people you choose, send the reminders you enable, and keep your data available across your devices. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage), which acts as our data processor. Server-side security rules ensure an event can be read or changed only by accounts the owner has shared it with. Some data is cached on your device so the app works offline. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments.

Sharing

We never sell your data or share it for marketing. Your content is visible only to you and to the people you explicitly grant access to. When you share an event, your name and email become visible to the people you invite. Data may be disclosed if required by law.

Payments

EventTrack offers an optional Premium subscription (monthly or yearly) and a one-time Lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store on iPhone, and by Google through Google Play on Android — we never see or store your payment details. Subscription management, billing and cancellation are handled in your Apple Account settings (iPhone) or in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions (Android). A purchase unlocks Premium on the platform it was made on.

Notifications

Event and payment reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Their content does not leave your phone.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings within the app. Deletion permanently removes your profile, saved teammates, and every event you own — including its tasks, expenses, guests, photos and documents. Events you own are deleted for everyone they were shared with, since no one else can administer them. Events shared with you are kept; you are simply removed from them. Deletion cannot be undone. If you no longer have the app, you can ask us to delete your account instead — see Delete your account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it with Apple or Google Play.

Your rights

You can access your data from within the app, export a copy of it from the iPhone app (or ask us for one by email), and delete everything as described above. Depending on where you live (for example, under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the EU/UK GDPR, or the CCPA), you may also have rights to correct or restrict processing of your data. Children

EventTrack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and protected by server-side access rules. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate, noted in the app.
